This monastery is built at a place where Guru Rinpoche killed the tiger demon. This Monastery is one of the most sacred places in Bhutan. The trek is usually very steep and you have to climb 900 meters from the base and the trekking distance is almost 10 kms uphill. However, the breathtaking view from the top makes the climb worth it. I started at 9 AM in the morning and took almost three hours to climb up. There is a cafeteria midway and the hike up from there is easy.
