Ajanta, India–UNESCO World Heritage Site

The paintings that identify Ajantha – Puspapani (One who holds flower in hand) and Vajrapani (One who holds thu-
-nderbolt in his hand). These paintings are remarkable not only because they were painted by monks 1500 years
ago
, but also because the caves in which they were painted were pitch black without lights.

Euro Trip 2012: Rome, Italy

Rome, Undoubtedly, the most beautiful city I’ve seen. A renaissance city and an open air piece of art.

Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi or "Fountain of the Four Rivers" at Piazza Navona. It was designed in 1651 by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Collectively, they represent four major rivers of the four continents: the Nile representing Africa, the Danube representing Europe, the Ganges representing Asia, and the Plate representing the Americas.

An uncanny comparison creep up obviously. Which city is more beautiful, Rome or Paris ? What I found distinguished Rome from Paris was that whereas Paris is a city of palaces and castles, Rome is a city of artisans. Rome looks like a city of escape, where creative energies seem liberated and where past and present imbibe each other to produce an intoxicating piece of beauty.
